Letih saat Tidur

Penyebab rasa letih saat bangun tidur antara lain adalah kualitas tidur yang buruk, sehingga tenaga tidak benar-benar dipulihkan selama tidur. Tidur mendengkur dan henti napas saat tidur atau sleep apnea merupakan beberapa faktor yang bisa memicunya.

Untuk mengatasi rasa letih akibat kecapekan tidur, beberapa hal berikut ini bisa dilakukan seperti dikutip dari Health.com. Jumat (20/7/2012).

1. Jauhi tombol snooze
Tak jarang ketika alarm berbunyi, tombol snooze atau tunda ditekan dengan tujuan agar bisa melanjutkan tidurnya barang 5 atau 10 menit lagi. Namun kenyataannya, tambahan waktu tidur tidak pernah memberikan efek yang signifikan alias percuma. Agar tidak buang-buang waktu, langsung saja bangun begitu alarm berbunyi.

2. Atasi dulu pegal-pegalnya
Otot punggung sering kaku saat bangun karena selama tidur bagian ini kurang mendapat oksigen. Berikan suplai oksigen dengan cara berdiri dengan kaki agak renggang, lalu silangkan tangan di atas lepala. Semacam peregangan sebelum olahraga, tetapi difokuskan untuk otot punggung.

3. Manjakan diri
Makin bahagia, seseorang cenderung makin berenergi sehingga tidak merasa lesu atau letih saat bangun tidur. Bangkitkan kebahagiaan itu dengan cara paling menyenangkan, misalnya membaca koran pagi sambil minum teh atau menonton film kartun di TV.

4. Jauhi kopi
Efek kafein dalam kopi adalah memacu denyut jantung, sehingga tubuh terasa lebih bertenaga. Namun di sisi lain, kafein bersifat diuretik sehingga tidak bisa mengembalikan hidrasi atau kecukupan cairan yang berkurang selama tidur. Padahal, cairan sangat dibutuhkan agar badan terasa lebih bugar.

5. Putar lagu yang bersemangat
Jenis musik tertentu bisa memacu pelepasan senyawa-senyawa di otak yang akan membuat tubuh merasa nyaman dan lebih bergairah. Tidak ada patokan khusus jenis musik apa yang bisa memberikan efek semacam ini, yang penting jenis musiknya harus yang paling disukai.

6. Dinginkan tubuh
Hawa dingin di pagi hari cenderung membuat orang ingin menghangatkan diri, dengan mandi air hangat atau kembali ngulet di balik selimut. Justru kalau ingin lebih bersemangat, mandilah dengna air dingin untuk menyesuaikan suhu tubuh dengan lingkungan.

1. Tidur tengkurap

1. Masalah utama saat tidur dengan posisi ini adalah leher harus menoleh agar bisa bernapas dengan efisien, sebab kalau tidak demikian maka wajah akan terbenam seluruhnya ke dalam bantal. Leher yang menoleh sepanjang malam dengan posisi terganjal bantal dan ditekan oleh berat badan sering memicu nyeri leher di pagi hari.

Jika memang menyukai posisi tidur tengkurap, para ahli menyarankan untuk meletakkan bantal di sekitar leher untuk menyangganya sehingga tekanannya berkurang. Bagaimanapun, tidur tengkurap memang banyak yang suka apalagi penelitian membuktikan bahwa mimpi erotis paling sering muncul saat tidur dengan posisi ini.

2. Tidur miring dengan tangan melingkari kepala

Banyak orang tidur miring sambil melingkarkan tangannya di atas kepala, dengan tujuan untuk menjaga posisi bantal agar tidak bergeser-geser. Bantal yang bergeser memang menyebabkan leher terasa pegal, namun posisi tangan yang demikian juga tidak lebih aman karena bisa memicu cedera bahu.

Dampak yang paling sering dirasakan saat bangun tidur adalah kesemutan, atau kadang mati rasa di bagian lengan karena aliran darah tidak lancar sepanjang malam. Itu belum seberapa karena akan membaik dalam waktu singkat, sedangkan yang lebih parah adalah sendi bahu bisa terkilir karenanya.
